Movie Blockbusters For 2012

Many film critics and enthusiasts are already anticipating the year 2012, which is looking like it has the most numbers of major blockbuster films yet. Hollywood has been grooming up to stand a chance at winning the high stakes game. Summer season is nothing unusual for the similarly dried-up casualties when it comes to movies. Because of this, Hollywood has been scheduling very expensive movies for the upcoming year. They are hoping that 2012 will be the peak of Hollywood blockbuster movies.

What are the movies in queue which will potentially hit the box-office mark? Let us tread on the months and see what we’ve got coming.

  • For March, Disney will be releasing “John Carter of Mars” while Warner Bros. will launch “Clash of the Titans 2”.  “The Lorax” by Universal Studios aims to hit it big time, too.
  • In May, brace yourself for Marvel’s “The Avengers”, Universal’s “Battleship”, Sony’s “Men In Black”, and Dreamwork’s “Madagascar 3”.
  • “Prometheus”, Pixar’s “Brave”, “Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter”, and the “Star Trek” sequel will grace the month of June. Fox’s “The Wolverine” who really could use some phlebotomist training is believed to be scheduled also in June.
  • For July, expect “Spider Man” reboot, “Ice Age 4” and “The Dark night Rises”.
  • “The Bourne Legacy” is set to be shown early August.

Other great movies don’t have fixed release date yet. The list includes “Die Hard 5”, “The Expendables 2”, “King of the Elves”, and “Stretch Armstrong”. Let us accept the fact that not all these movies will make it to the blockbuster finish line. There will surely be casualties, as expected.

For the latter half of the year, expect some more films which are geared to achieve the highly coveted blockbuster status. On November 9, the twenty-third James Bond adventure is set to be released. At the same time, Universal’s “Ouija” will be shown in cinemas. Disney’s “Monsters, Inc. 2” is planned to roll out a week before Bond and Ouija. DreamWorks, on the other hand, will be showing “The Rise of the Guardians”. The finale of the Twilight Saga, “Breaking Dawn Part 2” is also scheduled on November. In December, prepare to watch “The Hobbit” and “Snow White and the Huntsman”.

The succeeding year promises a line-up jam packed with great movies which are created to rake in a lot of money for the Hollywood movie industry. Because of this, it would be more difficult for some movies to squeeze themselves in the blockbuster season.
